The Association Excellence Awards 2018, Bronze in Best Certification Programme

PHAP Credentialing Program wins Bronze at the Association Excellence Awards 2018

The PHAP Credentialing Program is recognized for its innovation and success at the Association Excellence Awards in London.

We are proud to announce that the PHAP Credentialing Program has been awarded “Bronze” in the category of “Best Certification Programme” at the Association Excellence Awards 2018 that were held on 12 October 2018, in London!

This prize is a recognition for the hard work of more than 1000 humanitarian professionals from across the humanitarian sector that contributed to the development of the program. PHAP members and practitioners in its wider network have come together to create the first stand-alone certification program to provide robust methods for certifying the competencies of all those working to provide assistance and protection to disaster-affected people around the world.

We would like to share this achievement with all our members, practitioners, and wider network, for helping building of this practice-based tool for the recognition of knowledge and skills in the humanitarian sector.

The Association Excellence Awards Judging Panel 2018 provided the following comments upon the presenting this award:

"Good link to overall association aim and its strategy. Creative in tackling standard certification and uses new technologies as well as traditional. Innovative to offer free diagnostic test as an entry point. Clear goals set and exceeded."

"Driving standards in a sector that previously had few"

"Demonstrated clear understanding of users."

"Clear impact statements - including increased volunteer engagement."

"A very well-conceived and highly successful programme. PHAP have shown great sensitivity in developing an effective but pragmatic credentialing programme, taking account of issues like cost, whilst maintaining high standards."

"The additions of an enforceable Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, along with the requirement for CPD, ensuring the maintenance of current competence, are vital in such a sensitive sector."

We would like to thank this year’s Association Excellence Awards Judging Panel for this recognition.
